"Audiences can't take their eyes off Monster and The Watcher. In a press release, Bela Bajaria, the Head of Global TV for Netflix, announced The Watcher's continuation (along with two more extensions of Murphy and Brennan's Monster series, which focused on Jeffrey Dahmer in its first season). While the Netflix series reached the same conclusion that real life did-we're not quite sure who The Watcher sending the letters really was-the streaming giant nonetheless announced that the show, co-created by Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, and Eric Newman, will be returning for a Season 2. The show, a heavily-fictionalized take on the true story ( as reported in a 2018 piece for The Cut) of the family that attempted to move to Westfield, New Jersey only to receive a series of disturbing letters, followed a family who can't quite decide if they've moved into a haunted house or have someone in their brand new social circle deeply messing with them. Despite an ending that creepily, and, oddly, kind of perfectly wrapped things up, Netflix has announced that The Watcher will be returning for a Season 2.
